Victoria Conference Centre Goes Wireless

VICTORIA - The British Columbia Ministry of Education marked a technological milestone this week as being the first "wireless" conference at the Centre.

The Ministry of Education's "International Conference on Innovation and Improvement" highlights BC as a leader in educational innovation bringing a leading edge research focus to policies and practices that create high student achievement.

Wireless technology was chosen as the perfect medium for a conference on innovation. Sponsors such as Apple and Here U Are worked with the Victoria Conference Centre's in-house A/V supplier, Sharp's Audio-Visual, to create the wireless environment for the event.

"Wireless technology allows more flexibility of conference programs and offers a "plug and play" environment for A/V services," says Mike Thomas, Manager Rentals and Staging, of Sharp's Audio-Visual in Victoria.

Sharp's Audio-Visual is the Victoria Conference Centre's in-house A/V supplier and a leading edge provider of audiovisual accessories and services. Founded in 1923 and operating out of Western Canada, Sharp's Audio-Visual is one of the country's most experienced audiovisual product and service companies. www.sharpsav.com.
